We are having left overs tonight
Hubby made them! Cinnamon rolls and a wonderful wheat bread - from scratch, not out of a refrigerated packagel! He did!
When we were still corresponding, he told me that he enjoyed cooking and baking. I thought it was not really true. Not that he was lying to me but, kind of embellishing the picture.
Oh, no. He was not. He cooks gorgeously, and bakes as well.
Can you see me dancing? Jumping up and down and smiling from ear to ear?
Isn't that something?
He was the one that taught me to how "cook American". My cutie pie. How can I not think he is a cutie pie?
Now, when he sits while I cook dinner, he is still my Consultant. No need for cooking books. Hubby will tell me what to do, in case I have a problem.
And, when I am tired, or not feeling that inspired to cook, we have left overs. And he does not mind.
And, when I ask him to buy something for us, he does.
You see, I am caring for a compost pile for next Spring. So, I save all the peels, and stuff from the kitchen (no meat!), and take it outside to the compost area. For that purpose, I've been keeping an ugly looking container on top of the kitchen counter.
I saw a nice "Compost Keeper" in one of the seeds/plants catalogues that we are already receiving. And Hubby ordered it for us. Cutie pie of mine.
One gallon size. Found here.
Oh, I came up with a new nickname for him: Cecil Jethro.
And he created one for me too: Beulah Sue.
Winter is like this - not enough to do.

The rolls look lovely and so does the bread! Who needs supper? LOL!
Seems everyone is cooking or baking, except me. I spent so much time on my womb and sorting his junk - my kitchen looks terrible, no room to bake anything! Yah, I know, I need to clean, just too bleep tired. Maybe tomorrow, I will look for the counter top. ;-)
I made cinnamon rolls at Christmas--They were worth the wait and really are one of my favorites!
I like your compost keeper--I've seen them in lots of catalogs and need to get one for my sink too.
Hope you're staying warm!
Bloody hell, my husband does NOTHING!!!!! xxx
Your hubby sounds like mine! I think the years of being single made mine a good cook!
Love the compost keeper. I usually give all our scraps to the chickens during the winter.
I love hearing about happy relationships, and people who really care for each other. Good on you! (And the cinnamon buns are a real bonus!)
I can't believe you read the whole blog - you are a brave woman! Thanks for reading, and for your lovely comments - and for writing such an interesting blog yourself!
