What happened?
Instead of telling what happened, I have a question:
What do you do to a boss that lets you get up very early, get ready and leave home to work - always on time - lets you arrive at the "office", clock in, and then tells you to go home and come back later, because today is inventory day at the store?
Specially when this same boss is also your neighbour. What do you do to him?
So, I am home on a Friday morning. Awaiting for ten o'clock to go back... Not this time, baby! Ten thirty, if I am good. Otherwise, let them jump by themselves and do my work too.

Just thought of something. I could have come home without clocking out... that would have served to teach them a lesson.

Kind of nice having an unexpected mini part of a day off. Hope you enjoyed the down time.
Argh! The least your boss could have done was acknowledge his mistake and give you the morning off on his dime, instead of sending you home without pay.
I had a similar thing happen once. I drove over an hour in the snow and got to my office and found out it was closing for the day, I was sent back home...I wasn't paid either, and YOU should have been paid at least something!

Work sucks pond water! I doubt seriously your boss would have thought that was such a great idea if he had been in your place.
Find another job ? Put laxatives in his tea ? Make a small model of him & stick pins in ? Meditate & breathe out all your stress in his direction ( it works - I did it & the object of my stress got a huge cold sore !!! ) And you thought I was such a nice girl... that's why I'm BAD Penny !

Pimms my darling is a rather lovely summer drink that you mix with lemonade & add cut up strawberries, apples, cucumber , orange etc ice & a sprig of mint. It used to come in several varieties but these days I think there is only one available. I think it's Gin based which is odd as I HATE Gin ( my father was a Gin drinker & had a bad temper )
It's very summery & considered to be a treat like champagne. It's the perfect drink to have at a special picnic.
