Just a picture

My uncle Herberto came to visit. And he brought his slide projector.

Of all my uncles, he was the one fascinated with picture taking. He always had his camera with him, and most (if not all) of the pictures that I have of myself as a child were taken by him.

Something must have been very interesting on the white wall, where the slides were being projected. My brother was probably explaining something and I paid attention. Biting my nails, as I did for a very long time.

Shy. Scared. Impressed.

My brother had his special toy car with him.

Proud. Relaxed. In control.

This photo is so sweet! I have hardly any photos of me as a baby or small girl. I kept bugging my mom that I thought I was adopted or something. ;)

Sweet post!

What a wonderful photo. I love black and white pictures. I'm glad you have a copy of that picture. What a great memory to have.

What a sweet scene, Miriam. A visual memory of a more innocent time. :)

Very sweet photo Miriam. I was a nail biter too but quit after chipping my front tooth biting them. And Miriam, thank you. You touched my heart.
